Introducing CUUSD
As the payments landscape continues to evolve, new possibilities are created for financial institutions, businesses and cooperative organizations. CUUSD is a U.S. dollar-denominated payment stablecoin being developed for use by credit unions and other eligible financial institutions. Built on blockchain technology, CUUSD is intended to support efficient payment, settlement and liquidity management use cases while emphasizing security, transparency and responsible risk management.
CUUSD is being developed with the objective of supporting applicable legal and regulatory requirements as the framework for payment stablecoins continues to evolve.
By combining emerging technology with the cooperative principles that have long defined the credit union movement, CUUSD seeks to help participating institutions prepare for the future of digital payments.
